Blossom Kunewa was born and raised on O`ahu and began hula at a young age with her Kumu Hula mother Rose Joshua. All four daughters in the family danced and the three youngest girls kept a busy performance schedule during their teens as the darlings of wartime in Honolulu. "The Fabulous Joshua Sisters" regularly performed at numerous military bases and Waikïkï hotels and restaurants. Blossom spent six years in Europe with her military husband, actively teaching and performing in Germany where she lived, and other countries such as Spain and France. She returned to Hawai`i and has continued to teach and share ever since. She is involved in judging hula competitions and frequently travels to the mainland and abroad for hula-related events.
