Hale Pulelehua

Versatile Dance Studio & Meeting Place for the Windward Community

Hale Pulelehua opened in March 2009 and is a beautiful option for our Windward community looking to hold classes, meetings, rehearsals, or social gatherings in a tranquil, lovely setting (yet fully equipped with advanced technologies).

Hula Preservation Society built the studio at Windward Business Center on Alaloa St. after moving its offices there in Fall 2008.  HPS is happy to provide this important resource for our community.

Pulelehua was the name of Aunty Nona Beamer’s home in Puna, and it means “butterfly.”  It is our hope that those who spend time within our walls will be personally transformed like the butterfly and motivated to give to the community in their own ways, just as we were inspired to carry on the legacy of giving Aunty Nona was known for.

Aloha!
